Cadillac’s quickest car ever debuts with jaw-dropping performance. There’s a new V-Series Cadillac in town, the luxurious land barge that is the Lyriq.

The Lyriq-V is Cadillac’s first all-electric model with a V badge and will be the fastest production vehicle from the brand, boasting 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.

These specifications enable a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds in Velocity Max mode, making it 0.1 seconds quicker than the gas-powered CT5-V Blackwing. The 15.35-inch front Brembo brakes will help bring it to a stop after that burst of speed.

Weighing 5,980 pounds, its 102 kWh battery pack provides a range of 285 miles on a single charge. A DC fast charger can add up to 75 miles of range in just 10 minutes, while a standard 240V charger can provide 19 miles of range in an hour.

Cadillac Ensured that Drivers Could Fully Experience the Power of the Lyriq-V

Cadillac offers three driving modes to maximize the Lyriq-V’s impressive power. Competition Mode adjusts the traction management software to enhance vehicle agility, though details on this adjustment remain unspecified.

V-Mode allows drivers to customize performance settings and assign them to the steering-wheel-mounted V button. Lastly, Launch Control can be activated in either Velocity Max or V-Mode to improve off-the-line acceleration.

The Lyriq-V features unique 22-inch wheels, a model-specific lower front fascia, side rockers, a black-painted roof, and body-colored lower trim. It can be finished in the exclusive “Magnus Metal Frost” color and is adorned with numerous V badges to signal its performance pedigree to onlookers.

The Lyriq V’s Interior Embodies the Power it Possesses

Step inside the cabin, and you’ll encounter a stunning blend of luxury and sporty design, accentuated by V-Series illuminated sill plates. The steering wheel features a distinctive design with a V-Series logo, the V-Mode button, “sculpted hand grips,” and an aluminum Regen On Demand paddle.

Various interior surfaces feature paperwood décor, while the seats can be upholstered in Nappa leather with optional embroidery and V-pattern detailing on the seatbacks.

Cadillac also announced that the existing infotainment system will be enhanced by a dual-plane Augmented Reality Head-Up Display, which is expected to provide relevant information to the driver.

Additionally, this infotainment system can be updated with customization options that reflect the V-Series identity, likely including themes or color schemes to remind you that you’re driving a Cadillac V.

It’s important to note that these V-Series-specific features are in addition to the standard Lyriq’s offerings, which include a panoramic fixed glass roof, a 23-speaker AKG Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos, and an impressive 33-inch diagonal advanced LED display.

Final Thoughts

Such power and luxury come at a price. Cadillac has set the MSRP for the Lyriq-V at $79,990, which includes the destination charge.

The standard Lyriq was already an impressive vehicle, showcasing true Cadillac proportions and a design that stands apart from other luxury EVs. The addition of a performance-oriented V-Series version makes it even more remarkable, and we are excited that Cadillac has introduced this performance variant to its electric lineup.
